This guide covers how to request movies, TV shows, and music for our media servers. Please read the important policies below before making a request.
To ensure our storage is used efficiently and fairly, please adhere to the following guidelines:
- Movies: Are auto-approved and will be downloaded at the default quality profile (or the next best available lower resolution).
- TV Shows: Require manual administrative approval. Due to their significant storage footprint, TV series are typically only approved if they are:
- In high demand by multiple household members.
- A limited series or miniseries.
- Music: Albums can be added upon request. Please be mindful that very obscure artists may not be found by our system.
- Reporting Issues: Any issues with media (playback errors, wrong version, missing subtitles, access problems) should be reported using the instructions below.
Jellyseerr is the portal for requesting video content for Jellyfin.
- Navigate to Jellyseerr.
- Use the search bar at the top to find the movie or TV show you want.
- Click on the title to view its details page.
- Click the green "Request" button.
- Your request will be automatically approved and sent to the download queue. You will receive a notification when it is available in Jellyfin.
- Click the green "Request" button.
- This will send an approval notification to the administrators. Please be patient. You will be notified if your request is approved or denied.
- You can also request specific seasons or episodes from the show's page.
We use Lidarr to manage our music library.
- To Request an Artist or Album: Please notify an administrator directly (e.g., via a message in our household chat). Provide the artist and album name you'd like added.
- Direct Link to Search: You can browse for music on Lidarr's Add Search page to find the exact name of what you want.
Note: Unlike Jellyseerr, Lidarr does not have a user-facing request system. All music requests are handled manually by an administrator to ensure they are processed correctly.
Found an issue with your media? Please report it! This helps us keep the library running smoothly.
This is the preferred method. Jellyseerr has a built-in feature that directly links your report to the media, making it easy for us to fix.
- Go to the details page for the problematic movie or show in Jellyseerr.
- Find your request in your "Requested" list or click the "Request" button again to access the request page.
- Click the "Report" button (flag icon).
- Select the issue type (e.g., "Not available in requested quality," "Issue with media files") and add a comment describing the problem in detail (e.g., "Audio is out of sync," "Episode 4 is corrupted").
- Click "Report". This will immediately alert the administrators to the problem.
- For Music Problems: If an album is missing, corrupted, or the wrong version, please contact an administrator directly with the details.
- For General Access Issues: If you cannot log in to a service or are experiencing other technical problems, please contact an administrator directly.
